While the CEO was still speaking
Last year the BASF AGM was digital, a small circle. This year the in-person event with thousands of guests — and an image pool that kept pace.
Last year I photographed the BASF Annual General Meeting for the first time — back then digital, in a „small“ circle. Last Thursday it was the in-person event, with thousands of guests on site. A markedly different setting.
Part of the assignment: build and fill a live image pool. The press office, social media, investor relations, the executive board assistants and internal communications all accessed it in parallel, while the AGM was still running.
For me that meant: image selection and upload while shooting — seconds after the frame. No collecting, no evening hand-off. The selection happens in the same moment as the picture.
The result: a curated set, available online and usable for press release and social media while Markus Kamieth was still speaking.
An AGM of this scale forgives no delay. That is exactly what live delivery is built for.
