Conference photographer
Since 2008. Nationwide and international.
Andreas Henn has been photographing for companies, agencies and editorial teams since 2008. Nationwide and international.
Major events demand more than equipment. They demand preparation, an eye for hierarchies, an understanding of restricted zones and accreditation procedures — and the ability to be invisible at the decisive moments.
Andreas Henn has been photographing for companies, agencies and editorial teams since 2008. His focus: major events with little room for error. International conferences, annual general meetings of listed companies, business forums, award ceremonies and press conferences.
The approach is journalistic — close-up, authentic, with a feel for the decisive moment. At the same time fully aware of what clients need: press offices, communications departments, investor relations teams.

Briefing, accreditation, location visit if needed. Clarifying priorities with the press office, agreeing on photo-pool rules and security requirements.
Discreet conduct, the appropriate dress code, respect for hierarchies and restricted zones. Focus on the decisive moments and the best perspectives — without disrupting the flow.
On request, images go straight from the camera into an online gallery — immediately available for the press office, social media or investor relations.
Selection, editing and delivery of the full image package usually the next day. Editing requests are welcome.
Differentiator
At major events every minute counts. When the press office, the social media team or investor relations need images while the event is still running, I deliver them straight from the camera.
Technically this works through an online gallery into which selected images are uploaded live — within seconds of the shutter click. For press releases, posts on X or LinkedIn, or real-time coverage, this is a decisive advantage.
The complete, final image package follows as usual the next day.
Principles
In sensitive environments — investor relations, security-critical events, confidential meetings — restraint is part of professionalism.
Accreditation, knowing the venue, briefing with the press office. What is clarified beforehand runs smoothly on the day.
Punctuality, backup equipment, redundant storage — non-negotiable. Major events leave no room for technical mishaps.
Authentic, contemporary, without staging. Journalistically rooted — close-up, with a feel for the decisive moment.
International
Working nationwide across Germany is standard. Longer trips and international assignments are nothing unusual. Davos for the World Economic Forum, Vienna for the Long Night of Sciences, Munich for the Security Conference — major events take place where they take place.
Travel and logistics planning are part of the preparation. Accreditation procedures for international conferences are familiar to me from years of practice.
Frequently asked questions
Accreditation usually runs through the press office or the event bureau. I take care of the necessary documents, badges and access arrangements in good time. For security-sensitive events such as the Munich Security Conference or the World Economic Forum the procedures are stricter — I am familiar with them.
Pool rules and hierarchies are respected. Discretion, punctuality and observing the designated zones go without saying. Pool images are shared according to the agreement or used exclusively for the client.
Yes. On request I deliver images live to an online gallery — straight from the camera, immediately usable for the press office, social media or investor relations. The full image package follows the next day.
Yes. I regularly photograph annual general meetings and investor relations events for DAX and MDAX listed companies. Discreet conduct, observing the relevant dress code and an understanding of the sensitivity of the content go without saying.
Longer trips and international assignments are nothing unusual. From Mannheim I work nationwide and regularly internationally — for instance for the World Economic Forum in Davos or the Long Night of Sciences in Vienna.
Short-notice requests are possible but need to be assessed case by case. A brief enquiry by email or phone quickly clarifies whether a date is feasible. Reply usually within one business day.
A short briefing covers date, location, the focus of the image use and any special requests. With recurring assignments coordination is usually quick and straightforward.
